Building a Life-Saving Community: Tsinghua Alumni Gather at USJ to Learn CPR

Dr. Claude Wang Volunteers to Conduct CPR Training for Tsinghua Alumni in North America

San Jose, California — March 7, 2026 — On the afternoon of March 7, 2026, alumni from the Tsinghua Entrepreneur & Executive Club North America (TEEC NA) gathered at University of San Jose (USJ) to participate in a CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) training session led voluntarily by ARC-certified instructor and ALLCPR Chairman Dr. Claude Wang.

The event aimed to enhance public emergency preparedness and life-saving awareness within the Chinese entrepreneurial community in North America. The training was warmly received by participating in alumni and generated strong engagement throughout the session.

The training took place on the campus of University of San Jose in San Jose, California. As the founder of ALLCPR and an experienced CPR instructor, Dr. Wang provided a comprehensive introduction to cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AED), and essential emergency response procedures.

Combining real-life scenarios with hands-on demonstrations, the training enabled participants to quickly grasp key life-saving techniques. Alumni practiced chest compressions, rescue breathing, and AED operation using professional training manikins under Dr. Wang’s guidance.

During the session, Dr. Wang emphasized the importance of the “Golden Four Minutes” in cases of sudden cardiac arrest and highlighted how basic CPR knowledge among the general public can significantly improve survival outcomes. He noted that as public awareness of health and safety continues to grow, entrepreneurs and community members alike should be equipped with basic emergency response skills to help save lives when critical situations arise.

Participants responded enthusiastically to the practical exercises, actively engaging in training drills and discussions. Many attendees commented that the program not only strengthened their emergency response capabilities but also reinforced their sense of social responsibility.

The event was jointly organized by Tsinghua Entrepreneur & Executive Club North America and ALLCPR, with support from University of San Jose.  The event concluded successfully with lively conversations and a group photo among participants.
